was constructed in the 1800's and hailed as the most perfect place of amusement West of the Mississippi. Leadville, Colorado and Southern Railroad Railroad, Leadville Motel is the former Denver, South Park & Pacific Railroad (DSP&P) whose tracks reached Leadville in 1884. Today the train leaves from Leadville's century-old depot and travels over the old Colorado & Southern high line, following the headwaters of the Arkansas River up to a spectacular view of Fremont Pass.
